This bank holiday is set to be a scorcher, so what better time than to make some summer iced tea?
I love tea, whether that be hot, cold, or iced. So when Adagio Teas got in touch with me, of course I jumped at the chance to collaborate with them.
I’ve never made my own iced tea before, so was curious as to how it works. I always imagined iced tea as the really sweet peach kind that comes in a bottle. But turns out, iced tea isn’t much different to hot tea. It’s still brewed with a tea bag, just in cold water that goes in the fridge.
I love the jug and glasses from Adagio Teas. They’re so summery and look wonderful when filled with the tea.
All I did was put the large tea bag in the pitcher and put in the fridge overnight. For those that like their drinks a little sweeter, you can add sugar. I dissolved the sugar in boiling water, before adding to the jug, just to make sure the drink didn’t end up with grainy sugar in it.
There is so much flexibility with these teas. You can add ice, add fruit, or put it in a blender to make an ice slushie. Try adding honey for extra sweetness, or mint for a slightly tarter taste. The options are nearly endless.
The summer iced tea comes in endless flavours too, if peach isn’t your thing. I’m excited to try the blood orange tea!
