Decorating is always exciting. Even when you’re on a limited budget, even when you’re lacking in time, and even when you’re starting to get stressed.
Deep-down, you’re always dreaming of the day everything will be finished. Because when it comes to interiors, we all want to make our dream home designs a reality. And to do that, you have to work out exactly where your budget should go.
When it comes to creating a bedroom that you can feel comfortable in, and love to look at, you’re going to need to look at certain priorities for your bedroom. These priorities are where your money should go in order to get a bedroom that ‘works’. If you’re not entirely sure on how to get started, here are some suggestions for you to work with.
A Statement Bed Frame
In a list of priorities for your bedroom, the bed and mattress should be at the top of the list. As much as you might like spending time doing your hair and makeup and trying on clothes, working, and even watching TV, the primary reason for the room is sleep. So, you’re always going to want to prioritise budget for your bed. Because if you haven’t got a stunning style such as Vi-spring beds, and you choose to prioritise something else, you’re always going to regret it. Regardless of the amount of budget you have available, always put most of it towards your bed.
A Comfortable Mattress
Coming in a close second, if not joining first place, is your mattress. A bed might look good, but it’s actually the mattress that’s going to send you off into a relaxing sleep. So choose wisely. And don’t just order any old thing online. You need to go into the stores and try different styles out to be sure that the one you choose will be comfortable.
Then, it’s onto storage. Yes, your bedroom is mainly for sleeping in, but it’s also the place where you keep all of your clothing and accessories — and then some. So, you’re going to want to invest in some storage hacks to keep everything in order. You may find that you don’t have to spend a lot, but you have to be aware of making some sort of budget available for this.
Of course, you’re going to want to consider your makeup area too. For this, you might want to invest in a super pretty makeup vanity that will also double up as a handy storage facility too. This is especially going to be the case if you own more lipsticks that shoes!
Finally, don’t forget the tech. You may choose not to add a TV into your bedroom, and that’s completely understandable. But if you do love to watch movies in bed, you’re going to want to allocate some budget for your bedroom tech. At the same time, think about your music solutions if you like to listen to music while getting ready. You may find that you can allocate budget to one home cinema system that works for all of your needs. But it;s being aware of this that counts.
These priorities for your bedroom will result in the best sleep ever, and a place to relax in that you truly love.
